Roald Dahl's Ten Short Stories - The Hitchhiker

This story is very interesting because at the beginning of the story, the author did not reveal much information so making the reader read on to get more information. In the story, the author kept on guessing what is the job of the hitchhiker but did not guess correctly. Then near the end of the story, there was a twist and it turns out that the hitchhiker is a pickpocket but he insisted that he is not a pickpocket but a professional fingersmith. The hitchhiker also helped the author by taking the policeman's black notebook so the author would not get charged for speeding. The hitchhiker helped the hiker because he wanted to return the favour as the author helped to bring him to London.
