The Mosquito

Just by looking at the title, I think that
1. Different species of mosquitoes
2. Someone who gains something by taking it without permission
3. Someone who follows other people
4. Mosquito's experience

These few sentences caught my attention
1. lake of blood
2. By side we, murderer and murdered
3. lulled by my blood

The figurative language in the poem
1. Aliteration
subsides, side
murderer, murdered

Groups of words
1. it contains water
lake,river,reservoir

The pattern is that the poem has a slow rhythmn.

Guesses of what the poem may mean
1. The mosquito is trying to suck the poet's blood but in the end it died

The poet is "speaking" the poem.
It is "spoken" to the general public.
The speaker's attitude to the audience is serious and angry.
The poem is organized in that way because the poet wanted to make the audience feel that it is like a war.
It makes the reader understand the feeling of someone preying on a victim.

I think that the poet hoped that the poem would make the reader understand the feeling of being preyed on.

A good job analysing the poem! However, you should be able to find many more figurative language. That would be better for your blog. Also, I think that the structure of your 10-steps analysing is not very good, because you did not write the question number and readers will get confused over the words. It is a good try though! Keep it up!
