Three or So

Just by looking at the title, I think that
1. The poet is young
2. The quantity of an item
3. Recalling back memories
4. Counting something
5. It is in the afternoon

These few sentences caught my attention
1. The real soul of her - fled long ago
2. Has gone/As if they had never been
3. Is that child in the snapshot me?
4. I've forgotton the little girl, three or so
5. She's someone else now, to be wondered at

The figurative language in the poem
1. Personification
" I can hear the scream and shush of the train."
" And the whoosing of traffic on the road."
2. Onomatopoeia
" I can hear now the drone of those bikes."
" And the howl of the tomcats on their prowl"
3. Assonance (1st paragraph last two lines)
run, sun

Groups of words
1. Sound words
howl/scream/buzz/drone/whooshing/shush
2. Means of transportation
bikes/train/motorbikes

The pattern in the poem is that each paragraph states that the poet was feeling lonely and sad

Guesses of what the poem may mean
1. The poet is poor
2. The poet feels lonely and recalled the time when she was young and felt that she had changed a lot.

The poet is "speaking" the poem.
It is "spoken to the poet himself (reflective)
The speaker's attitude to the audience is sympathetical and sad.
The poem is organized in that way because the poet wanted to emphasize on some words to make the poem more effective.
It makes the audience know his inner feelings and thoughts.

I think that the poet hoped that people will cherish their childhood days.
